Members rallied around someone experiencing painful mouth symptoms, with several identifying the white dots and sore gums as possible thrush, a common side effect of certain medications like chemotherapy that requires medical attention. Many shared practical home remedies that have worked for them, including warm salt water rinses, gentle brushing with soft toothbrushes, L-Lysine supplements, Listerine, probiotics, and baking soda for plaque removal. A recurring theme was the importance of persistent self-advocacy, with one member urging the poster to push for an ultrasound to check for an enlarged spleen and not to wait weeks for appointments if symptoms worsen.

Try L-Lysine in the vitamin section. It may take a couple days but it really helps with mouth sores.

Sounds like you have thrush.
See your doctor
Also certain drugs , like chemo ones can cause it.
If need be go to the ER
Always use soft toothbrushes, for infection

That sounds like thrush to me. Is it painful? Talk to your doctor about it. He might be able to recommend a treatment for it. Stay strong!

It’s sounds exactly like the pain I was having for years before being diagnosed with ET and was misdiagnosed before that. I just found out today that my spleen is enlarged ( all the symptoms I was having)Ask for an ultrasound of your spleen , and don’t give up until you get one! Prayers your way!
