Long Term Chronic Headaches/migraines Are Considered Or Are A Complication To Decide A Cytoreductive (Rx) Treatment Option, Right?
hi , shortly before my pv was detected i had migraine attack also had sinus inflammation for both conditions i went to gp , no result
later it was said i had those due to the high blood counts due to pv
hope this helps
Headaches/Migraines are a known MPN microvascular symptom. This is a consideration in cytoreductive medication. It is worth noting that headaches can co occur with MPNs and not be related to the MPN. Proper assessment of the symptom would be advisable. Note that some people with MPN microvascular symptoms respond to an increase in aspirin to 2x/day.
I experience acephalgic visual migraines as the consequence of a brain surgery. The symptom is not related to the PV. I respond very well to a PRN CGRP inhibitor. It eliminates the migraine in under 1 hour.
I use Maxalt melts when hit with a Migraine
