Hi Carol441,
I have been going through similar issues currently. Phlebotomy after Phlebotomy to bring my RBC down and my HCT to 45, but my iron is so bad at the moment. RBC went from 200+ to 138, too high to too low, but HCT went from 52 to 45.
My Haematologist said the low iron level is due to the Phlebotomies, and to not worry too much about the iron level, and don't take supplements unless he confirms it as it can affect your blood.
Good luck in your adventure.
Much love to you ❤️
