Anyone Having Eye Problems Because Of ET Or Hydroxy?

A myMPNteam Member asked a question 💭

Good morning. I would like to know if anyone is having problems with their vision because of ET or Hydroxy. I had cataracts removed last year and now I have floaters and my eyes are very tender. Just curious if any else has had this problem. Eye doctor says my retina is detaching.

I had cataract surgery several years ago, had the worst of the floaters lasered away early on, still have some but I’ve gotten used to them and don’t believe they are a result of either the MPN or hydrea.

I have floaters . Really annoying. Keep trying to bat them away as I keep thinking it’s a fly !

Yes, I get the blurry vision and now my eye dr. says I'm developing spots that lead to retina issues. She attributes it to diabetes, so I had to get back on my medication. Also my cataracts finally got ripe enough to have surgery. I told her, no way for a while I'm so tired of so many new issues with the ET and PV.

My eyes have really weakened in the past two years. I do have Sjorgrens, but I’m wondering if it’s the Hydrea or ET.
