Diagnosed With ET Taking 1000 Mg Four Times A Week And 1500 Mg Three Times A Week. Is There Another Solution For Treatment.
Oh sorry, hydroxyurea
Taking 1000 Mg of what?
I have PV. I have been taking 500 mg hydroxyurea twice a day and a low-dose aspirin 1x/day for the last three months. It appears to be working in the sense most of my concerning counts are down. I am experiencing fatigue and dizziness. Hopefully others will weigh in.
I have MDS/MPN-RS-T. On the MPN component I have ET and PV. I was diagnosed in early 2018. I’m on three 500mg Hydroxyurea on Mondays, Wednesday and Friday and two 500 mg Hydroxyurea tablets the other 4 weekdays. I also take a daily 81mg aspirin plus two 2.5 mg Eloquis tablets for clotting because my red blood cells are way too large. I also suffer from fatigue but a 30-60 minute nap mid-day fixes that problem. I don’t have the dizziness you’re experiencing. On the MDS side I have a significant number of immature white blood cells.
May you have the best possible care for him and his complete remission.
