I definitely recommend seeing a doctor. Curled nails may be indicative of other illnesses. I’ve been dealing with Mpn since 2008 when it started with ET and changed to MF. I never heard anything about curled nails, but I have read about them for other serious conditions. Let us know what you find out.

I was on hi for 24 years and my nails were fine- weak but not turned under- I have something called Biab put on them every 3 weeks by the nail salon and this keeps them from breaking.

I would recommend that you get a dermatology exam to evaluate your nails. From what I have read, the main changes to fingernails occur as hyperpigmentation in people who are taking hydroxyurea, and that only happens sometime after being on it over six months. Your question about spooning deformity of the nails usually points to iron deficiency, so I would be sure to mention it to your oncologist/heme, since he might wish to order iron/ferritin/tibc blood tests.
