It basically means you don’t have CML (Chronic Myeloid Leukemia). When diagnosing blood cancers, that is one of the first tests done. If not CML, then they start looking at MPN’s. That was my experience in getting diagnosed.

Thank you. I was asking for someone else on another forum. I myself have ET and JAK2. I was taking Jakafi, but for some reason over several months, I developed shortness of breath, which was so severe that after walking for 5 minutes my oxygen level dropped to 72. I was put on oxygen, that I really only used at night when I was sleeping and my cardiologist actually had me stop the Jakafi , cold turkey. That in turn caused pruritis all over my upper torso for about 2 months. I was taking Zyrtec, Benadryl, prescription creams and ointments, but it finally went away slowly I think after my body adjusted to the abrupt withdrawal of the medication. Now as far as my platelets go, I'm just a little over the high side of normal. My hematologist said since everything else looked okay that we would just do blood work in 3 months and see what it looks like then to determine what we might do. I will say that I have prayed and asked God to relieve me of this illness if it's His will and I firmly believe that He is answering my prayers. The only thing I'm taking prescription wise is the Xarelto and I'm hoping that I can get to a point where maybe I'll only an 81 mg aspirin.
