They give you good meds, you don’t really know what is happening, and there is very little discomfort afterwards. ☺️

Thank you, BC! I would have preferred to have been "knocked out", too, but as it was I went through with it with just the lidocaine local numbing. Not too bad, not very painful, but it was a scary experience!

That’s a great question. I had the same worry, but mine was done under a light general anaesthetic. Best sleep I had had in ages! And no pain afterward. I have heard of other people having it under a local who said it wasn’t as good an experience. Talk with your doctor and see what they have planned. I can recommend being knocked out but have no experience with the local anaesthetic.
