Mutations
Hello,
Does anyone have more than one mutation? I originally had just JAK2. However, now my blood is showing two other mutations..
JAK2 V617F
FBXW7
CALR
Adding more to this thread. High molecular risk (HMR) are considered in the MIPSS70+ version 2 scoring system for myelofibrosis prognosis. HMR are ASXL1, EZH2, SRSF2, IDH1/2, and U2AF1.
One can get very different results using this scoring system versus the standard DIPSS-plus system. In my case, I am “low risk” under DIPSS-plus while “high risk” on MIPSS70+v2. The main difference is reflecting HMR. My doctor is not treating me any differently knowing this discrepancy in scores — currently “watch and wait” with regular bloodwork as I am mostly asymptomatic. I do worry about having a greater chance of faster progression or eventual transformation to leukemia given the HMR.

In addition to JAK2, I have a few other mutations. I’m not familiar with FBXW7. Some mutations are associated with poorer prognosis. The link below discusses mutations.

I just have JAK2.
Thank you so much🫶🏼
I only show JAK now. Thank God 🙏
