Hi, Paul. I've been on Jakafi for almost four months. I have Post PV Myelofibrosis. My spleen was quite enlarged; my abdomen was quite painful; I was exhausted. The JAKAFI has been very helpful. It takes a little time to be effective. I wish you a New Year full of blessings.

There are now four JAK-inhibitors approved in the USA, Ruxolitinib (Jakafi), Fedratenib, Pacritinib, and Momelotinib, Pacritinib has an indication for MF with thrombocytopenia. Momelotinib has an indication for MF with anemia.

The JAK inhibitors demonstrate efficacy for the treatment of PV and MF. They are generally tolerated but certainly can have adverse effects like all of our treatment choices. We each respond differently. Whether the JAK inhibitors are good or bad depends on how each individual reacts.

Thanks Elizabeth, very helpful. Too much Jakafi gets my blood messed up., but does help the spleen go down.. Using Kaiser and the V A.for meds.and treatment. Some days just want to sleep. Not good. Happy New Year. Thanks again ,
Paul.
