My condition is ET JAK 2 positive. Hydroxyurea has become too toxic for me.

Hi Myrna, I too have ET/JAK2. I have been taking Anagrelide 0.5 twice daily since 2016 and have had good platelet counts and few side effects. Check it out with your doctor; blessings:-)

I was taking HU and Anagralide for ET. I started taking Besremi and stopped the HU. Still new for me. Hopefully within a short amount of time I will be able to stop the Anagralide too

Thanks for responding.
Did you take Hydroxyurea before taking Jakafi, how long have you taken Jakafi, what side effects did you have with Hydroxyurea before, and how are you paying for Jakafi? I don't think many people are rich enough to pay for it themselves!

I’ve had no problem with Jakafi

I'm afraid of Anagrelide due to the heart side effects, and history of heart problems in my family. I also fear Jakafi because it is just another form of Chemo. I need to get off of Chemo. It is literally destroying my body.
