Myofascial release therapy is a massage technique that focuses on relieving pain in your myofascial tissues, the connective tissues that support your body.

It’s a form of PT.

It also releases stress, emotional, etc. traumas we have picked up throughout life and may not even know, the body and fascia holds onto it even if we got over it.

Hello IKEALover,
I'm maintaining massage therapy once a week for 90 minutes. Previously, I often had pain in my joints, especially my knee joints, and my whole body ached. But when I go for a massage, I feel healthier and more comfortable.
My doctor encouraged me to get massage when possible, because Massage can help reduce pain or discomfort caused by low blood pressure, skin irritation, and other symptoms of ET. Massage can also improve blood circulation and reduce swelling, providing more comfort to the patient.
From what I have felt so far, massage is safe. Hope you feel comfortable with this support method

I've had various massages and chiropractic care over the years as well. All have been helpful. None have done harm. The type of massage that helps the best is one performed by a therapist that finds the tight spots and works very hard at releasing the tension. Including my head and neck. The soft 'Swedish' style does not work for me. Wish you the best.
