I have ET.jak 2 gene positive. I was diagnosed in 2002. Recently had my 77th birthday and just carry on as normal. Yes, I do get tired and have some of the other things associated with ET, but could have died of something else by now ! .Stay strong and positive. Wishing you all best.

Everyone is different. You need to take into account your age, do you have other health problems. You need to pay attention to your body and your doctor.
I was 70 years old when I was diagnosed with ET, my life span is 16 years that’s what I’ve read.
But my doctor, my mind, and my body tells me differently.
I’m not saying I will live to 100 but I share am goin to try. Oh I’m 74 now.
