I was on hydroxyurea for a year and gained 15 lbs. I did not change my exercise or eating routine. I switched to Besremi in March. I have lost 20 lbs. I don’t know why.

Exactly the opposite, I have been losing 3to 5 lbs per month….

I became incredibly hungry and gained several pounds over a couple of months while really trying hard not to overeat. I started taking Akkermansia and it has helped (after taking it for a couple of months) reduce my appetite to normal levels.

Yes I have gained. Nurse practitioner tells me it's not from the HU, but I have asked in an online support group, and yes some people do gain weight on it.
