When Do You Take Your Daily Aspirin? Do You Find It To Be More Effective In The Mornings Or Evenings?
I take mine after lunch with a glass of butter milk. It helps to keep my stomach calm and avoid acidity like feeling
Hi Ellen,
MPN patients can have a high number of platelets (a type of blood cells involved in coagulation) that can increase their risk for thrombosis (blood clots).
In order to reduce the risk of these platelets aggregating into blood clots, patients are given antiplatelet medication. Aspirin is one of these drugs.
Aspirin acts as an antiplatelet via "irreversible inhibition of platelet-dependent thromboxane formation."
This study below is a good read if you want to learn more.

Depending on the age of the patients, their platelets levels, type of MPN, concurrent medication and patients' bleeding risk, doctors will advise whether aspirin should be taken or not.
Many hugs of support,

I was already taking Plavix for heart issues, 5 stents and a pacemaker, so my hematologist said I didn't need additional aspirin.
Sorry I'm new to this but why do people take aspirin, I have read that many people do, I thought about takin it but consultant said I'm not to. Don't understand why so many take and how does it help
I do dispersible aspirin and have varied the times evening/morning/middle and personally haven’t seen that much difference. As long as it is after taking food. Easier for me to remember taking before bed and doing the routine. Although by the end of the day I usually can feel that I need to top up. Probably tend to wake up in a better state too. Curious about others.
When Did You Start Taking Drugs To Decrease Platelets?
I've Been Taking Aspirin For About A Year Now. 1 A Day In The Morning With Breakfast 🥣.
